Being a mom is full of tender moments, unexpected lessons, and constant surprises. To celebrate the beauty of this journey, we spoke with three amazing women to hear their stories. From cherished memories to clever parenting hacks and personal style tips, they offered up real, relatable insights any parent can connect to. Whether you're new to parenting or simply curious, their words carry wisdom for everyone.

Meet Alison Muzark. Starting out in a 600-square-foot one-bedroom apartment with a baby—and later adding a second child—Alison has been advocating for small-space city living for years. She's built a community of like-minded families who embrace simplicity, intentional living, and making the most of the space they have. With a passion for design and minimalism, Alison inspires others to appreciate their homes and adapt them to fit their growing needs.

As part of our Meet the Creator: Hey Ma series, we spent the afternoon with Alison and her two kids, Theo and Mae, to hear more about her life as a mom. Read the full interview below.

Q&A with Alison

Q: What’s the most rewarding part of motherhood?

A: I think just watching them grow and become the people that they are, separate from us as parents.

Q: What do you wish someone had told you before becoming a mom?

A: My mom told me that everything is a season and that really stuck with me. The good times are a season like the adorable parts of raising toddlers coupled with the challenging parts – it’s all just a season. So, I try my best to stay in the moment, in order to get through the hard parts but also really enjoying what’s so great about each age of life.

Q: What’s a mom “hack” that makes life easier?

A: When my kids were really little, I made them walk everywhere. I didn’t really bring a lot of snacks which may not seem like a modern way to parent. However, by doing this I feel like my kids grew to be able to walk really far without snacks and it’s a great hack.

Q: If you could have one superpower for motherhood, what would it be?

A: Endless energy.

Q: What activity or tradition with your kid(s) do you look forward to the most?

A: Travelling as much as we can. Anytime we are not here and we are together experiencing something new. I love travelling with them.

Q: How has motherhood influenced your personal style?

A: I think just making sure I can move in everything comfortably but still feel like myself and feel put together. It’s a little bit like having a uniform.

Q: Do you have go-to outfits that make you feel confident on busy days?

A: The things that I feel good in no matter what I am doing. Usually it’s a wide legged pant paired with a blouse or striped shirt of some kind along with a good coat. I believe that a good coat can fix any outfit.
